I stumbled across this recipe when a colleague recommended Detoxinista as a cool health conscious website. As my love of peanut butter and chocolate is no secret I thought I would give it a try. So glad I did as oh my it is amazing! Definitely not something you can have all the time but in terms of a treat this is one of the healthier ones. It is also Gluten and can be Dairy Free.

Cacoa, Coconut Digestive Bites
I have been trying a few ‘healthier’ recipes over the past week and I have been presently surprised with the outcome. This coconut biscuit is adapted from Lorna Jane and is Gluten & Dairy Free.
Coffee, Hazelnut and Dark Chocolate Caramel Slice
Dish would have to be one of my favourite NZ food magazines. I snapped up this recipe from one of their recent posts and it is to die for. Created by Sarah Tuck of From My Kitchen this slice needs to be handy the next time you have friends over for coffee. Mum and Dad are visiting and they have given it the thumbs up… so moorish!
White Chocolate and Raspberry Slice
White chocolate and raspberry is a popular flavour match and loved by many. This slice is a little creation of mine that I made with some leftover ingredients. The use of freeze-dried raspberries adds a burst of flavour and jazz’s up a basic no bake slice. This recipe works well doubled if you have a few mouths to feed.
Mars Bar Slice
This is my take on a friend, Jaclyn’s, Mars Bar slice. It only requires 4 ingredients and can be whipped up in about 10 minutes. Great for those last minute guests or children’s birthday parties.
Oaty Ginger Slice
This ginger slice recipe is a cross between a traditional ginger crunch and an ANZAC biscuit. It’s oaty base adds a little more texture and substance to a normal ginger slice.
Gooey Lemon Slice
This delicious slice is my go to lemon flavoured treat. It is like a gooey, sponge like tart that is either perfect just on its own or served with a dollop of natural yoghurt.
White Chocolate and Macadamia Slice
Dark Chocolate Almond Slice
This slice is very moorish and even I cannot eat too much of it. I originally made this recipe with my cousin Rosa a couple of years ago. This recipe is adapted from the Baradene School cookbook, my aunty Shayne was on the committee that created the book and there are some great recipes in there.
Peanut Butter Slice
This recipe combines two of my faves… chocolate and peanut butter. It is a very easy no bake slice that can be whipped up in 10mins and ready to eat in an hour or so.
